About The Software Foundry, Inc.

The Silver Bill-It™ is a service of The Software Foundry, Inc. in Chatham, New Jersey. The program was developed in a collaborative effort by transplant, trauma, and critical care physicians, two billing companies, and The Software Foundry's computer scientists.

Founded in 1976 and incorporated in the State of New Jersey in 1987, The Software Foundry, Inc. has participated in numerous consulting projects, primarily in financial accounting. Among our customers have been prominent Wall Street firms -- companies with little tolerance for walking away from money. The Software Foundry now applies the same expertise it has used on Wall Street to help health care providers bill for their services and get paid.
Principals

Remon Lapid (President) founded The Software Foundry, Inc. and has been writing software for over 30 years with experience on many Wall Street projects and commercial software products. He has developed financial trading systems for Wall Street, and commercial products including CallManager (medical billing software) and PerfexMail (anti-spam software).

Dr. Leonard Silver (Partner) has a PhD in theoretical physics from Columbia University and has done and managed many large and small projects (with an emphasis on the human-technology interface) for financial and other industries for over 30 years. He was involved with The Software Foundry, Inc. at its inception and became a partner in 2006.

Nancy Ehrlich (Partner) has more than 20 years’ experience in medical communication. She has been a consultant and invited speaker at some of the world's top clinical centers. In 2003, her understanding of the challenges facing today’s health care providers led her into the field of medical billing.

Steve Stein (Partner) is The Software Foundry's Director of Sales and Marketing. He joined The Software Foundry in 2008 and became a partner in 2009. He has extensive experience helping bring new products to market, and previously ran Adtech LLC, a sales and marketing company that serviced more then a dozen companies in the service and products industry. His experience ranges from working for startups to Fortune 500 companies. His responsibilities include building strategic partnerships with medical software companies.
